Rainbow

She loved life. She lived for all the simple things: watching the sunset, long walks, making daisy chains, getting lost in a book, genuine conversations- the little things made her smile. Even something as common as watching the heavy rain pour on a hot summers night or talking to the stars, her only friends that lit up her world.

I should also mention, she lived for the people around her. Spreading laughter like how fairies sprinkle fairy dust. She’d run as far as she could, to feel even a glimpse of love. Searching for those eyes, that resembled her own. Any place where the heart could feel at peace, at home.

Every person who met her, would think she’s so calm and collected, so full of life and colourful -all unaware of the darkness that consumed her insides. The emptiness that took over her whole being as soon as she was alone. A constant rainbow that only she could witness; the result of her smiling face and her crying heart.
